A natural treatment for Candida, fungus, yeast and bacterial infections. Made from the bark of a rainforest tree well known by natives in South America. The active ingredient in AviPow has been used for centuries to cure illnesses, especially fungal infections.
Lab studies have shown the active ingredient in AviPow to be even more effective than a widely used prescription drug for fungus. AviPow is a derived from the potent inner bark and is very finely milled to stick well to bird food. Use by sprinkling on your birds food in the following amounts:
Small Birds (Cockatiels, Budgies, Finches, etc) - 1/8 teaspoon
Medium (Amazons, Greys, Pionus) - 1/4 teaspoon
Large Birds (Cockatoos, Macaws) - 1/2 teaspoon
These dosage guidelines are based upon potency and the waste anticpated when added to bird food.
The indigenous people of South America noted, probably thousands of years ago, that no fungus grew on the bark of the Lapacho tree. They used the bark (called Pau d'arco) as a medicine to treat fungal and bacterial infections as well as parasitic infestations, fevers, colds, respiratory problems, and even toothaches. The active ingredient in the bark, subjected to lab tests, has been reported to be a more effective anti-fungal agent than a widely used, and expensive, prescription drug (ketoconazole). The further good news is that there are no known adverse effects or toxicity associated with the use of Pau d'arco. (Lapacho bark was cleared by the FDA for lack of toxicity in 1981).
